With the Washington Wizards currently being one of the worst teams in the NBA, the time for Bradley Beal to be traded can happen sooner than later. Even though the Wizards did trade for Russell Westbrook this past off-season, Washington has managed to look worse than the previous season. For starters, the Wizards started this season 0-5 and only won their first game of the season when Westbrook didn’t play. Considering that the Wizards traded away their dedicated and loyal point guard in John Wall for a player that can’t even convert his production to wins, it’s safe to say that Washington lost that trade.

Regardless of whether the Wizards had Wall or not, the fact pertains that the Wizards need to restart. If that means trading away Bradley Beal for a better future, then Washington, without any hesitation, should pursue trade destinations for the snubbed All-Star. This Wizards team has little to no chance of making the playoffs let alone win a series hence why it is time for a blockbuster trade to happen in Washington! According to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, there has been chatter of the Miami Heat expressing interest in Bradley Beal. With Miami looking to return to the NBA finals this season, a trade for Bradley Beal could definitely boost their chances.

The Miami Heat, having expressed interest in Bradley Beal, should be an opportunity that the Wizards should not miss. As mentioned earlier, the Wizards are nowhere near a complete roster that can contend for a playoff spot despite having two All-Stars. Earlier this season, Thomas Bryant tore his ACL for the second straight season, which set the Wizards’ tone for their early struggles. At this point, Washington seriously needs to consider this interest by Miami and look to trade their franchise player. While trading away Russell Westbrook will be virtually impossible, the Washington Wizards could receive a bundle for Bradley Beal. Despite no trade offer presented, the Wizards should demand the following from Miami.

Miami Heat Recieve: Bradley Beal

Washington Wizards Receive: Tyler Herro, Kendrick Nunn, Andre Iguodala, Maurice Harkless, 2025 and 2027 unprotected first-round picks.

Even though trading Bradley Beal will be tough for any organization to do, the package that Miami could potentially offer would provide them with a base to work with. Tyler Herro, who has shown some All-Star potential during the 2020 NBA playoffs, would be the Wizards’ primary foundation to build around. Kendrick Nunn, a solid prospect at the point guard position, would most likely be the Washington Wizards’ future point guard. Right off the bat, the Wizards automatically form their future backcourt while also obtaining two future unprotected first-round picks! They would also possess one of the best young starting five with a line-up of Kendrick Nunn, Tyler Herro, Deni Avdija, Rui Hachimura, and Thomas Bryant. While that center position is iffy due to Bryant’s second ACL tear, the overall foundation of the Wizards future would automatically become much better.

While one team is rebuilding, the Miami Heat add another All-Star to their roster. Bradley Beal, who averaged career highs in scoring last year, missed the NBA All-Star roster due to the team being a part of a losing team. With him potentially being a member of the Heat, he would finally be able to compete for a championship. A starting five of Goran Dragic, Bradley Beal, Jimmy Butler, Precious Achiuwa and Bam Adebayo would undoubtedly be enough for the Miami Heat to be called contenders. Even though the Heat are losing much of their future and depth, attaining a 27-year-old Bradley Beal is definitely worth it.

The Miami Heat expressing interest in Bradley Beal is smarter than we all realize. With Beal being only 27-years-old, Miami’s future will still be competitive despite having a 31-year-old Jimmy Butler. This team is young regardless of this trade and was fortunate enough to speed their production due to the incredible leadership of Jimmy Butler. However, like most players, Butler will eventually slow down due to age, which makes the window of Miami’s aspirations to win a title quite slim. What this trade provides is a bigger window for competing for a title while always remaining competitive for the next five or so years. In other words, the Miami Heat are one step ahead in this trade as they are also making this trade to better their future when Jimmy Butler regresses.

Whether or not the Heat will win a championship, it will be tough for them to return in the NBA finals when the Brooklyn Nets have a three-headed monster of Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving. Even though the Heat did surprise virtually every NBA fan globally, their chances of replicating that incredible run are close to impossible when other contending teams in the Eastern Conference all got better.
