Before becoming a multiple-time NBLC champion, an NBLC All-Star, the first pick of the 2019 CEBL inaugural season, and representing Team Canada in 2017, Joel Friesen experienced various obstacles and adversities that led to him becoming a professional athlete. Instead of succumbing to his situation, Friesen used sports as an outlet for change and, as a result, has become one of the greatest Canadian basketball athletes this country has ever seen!
